Happiness In India

Being Happy in the Now is Being Happy All the Time "Happiness is a state of being. We have to be happy in the now, in the moment & not live with regrets of the past or fear of the future".  We often bring our past to the present and mull it over to say that “I’ve been through this.” Sometimes it helps to get some kind of closure on things that were left open, perhaps because we couldn’t cope with it at the time, possibly, because of overwhelming negative emotions.  However, most of the time, digging up the past doesn’t bring us any closer to the solution. So why do we keep going back to yesterday? It is the mind that dumps the past at our table. Most often, we end up cursing the event and complain about how people have wronged us in the past. What does this do anyway? It only spoils the moment that we have at hand. Not only do we curse these kinds of situations, but we also tend to nurse them. We let our thoughts and emotions dwell on that memory an...

What is Self-Realization?

Image
"Self-realization is understanding the truth of who we are, what we are. We are not the body, mind or the ego, so what are we See what AiR as to say about this".    We have all heard about self-realization . We have read spiritual quotes related to it, listened to discourses by spiritual teachers or heard of such spiritual experiences . Some of us may be intimidated by the term or overwhelmed by spiritual leaders who have attained it. But what is self-realization ? Does it place one in a different realm of existence? What is the need for self-realization ? Why must it be the goal of humanity?   Self-realization is the truth of who we are, what we are – the realization that we are not the physical body, the physical form that we believe ourselves to be, but the energy within that physical form that gives us life. Most of us are unable to realize this because of the illusionary world we live in, because of our mind which makes us believe that we are the ego...

How can one seek ultimate happiness?  Transcending the mind, body and ego to realize that we are the Soul is the Ultimate peak of Happiness. AiR shares his thoughts and experiences on Liberation or Mukti. Everybody wants to be happy, but not everybody knows how! Is there anybody in this world who doesn’t want to be happy? The whole world is seeking happiness, joy, and bliss, be it a little child who wants to be happy with his toys or a young adult who is enamoured by the pleasures of this world. Whether it is a person who has grown old or the one who is young, everybody wants to be happy. It doesn’t matter which country we come from, which religion or race we belong to, and it doesn’t matter which gender we are, we all want to be happy. While everybody wants to be happy, there are different happiness triggers that bring in happiness in people’s life. Something that makes one very happy may not make the other happy. In fact, the whole world seems to be li...

God Realization in India

Image
First Experience God Then, Realize God!  Know the Divine energy that exists beyond the Cosmos, the power that we call God. Start out on a quest to learn about who we are and how we are connected to God.   On the journey to find God, many of us experience a wondrous feeling of God’s divine presence. We experience God in the sun, the moon, the stars, the birds, the animals and the flowers. We know that God exists, and we go beyond our religion to feel God’s divinity in the wind that blows, the water that flows and the sun that glows. Although we cannot prove it, we experience God’s divine presence in His creation. Everything that God has made is so very beautiful – the flowers in the garden, the fruits and trees, the butterflies and birds, the underwater world, the clouds and the stars in the skies. Creation is so amazing that it can’t be the work of anyone else other than the Creator, God. We often differentiate between the animate and the inanimate, those ...

What Is Happiness?

Finding the Pinnacle of Happiness The whole world seeks happiness and everyone is relentless in the pursuit of it. We all tend to have expectations that fuel our desires, only to create a moment that just craves for more happiness. What we don’t see is that happiness has several peaks. About 80% of humanity spends their entire life on the first peak of happiness, the peak of Achievement. The distinct characteristic of the first peak is that we chase fame, success, name which gives us only temporary pleasure. Most of us are consumed by greed and continue to long for more and our desires and expectations remain unfulfilled. Every time we are unable to match the expectations our desires create, we become unhappy and disappointed. We tend to accept this as the circle of life and we continue living – wanting, seeking, achieving, being happy and then again, becoming unhappy. The craving of achievers, along with achievements and success, without doubt, creates excitement, b...

Spirituality in Life: Why is Spirituality Important?  Why is Spirituality important? What is Spirituality? Spirituality is everything to do with the Spirit, the Soul, the Atman or what in reality is the life energy within us. Why is that important? Because that is everything! If there is no life energy within us, then we are dead, then there is nothing. The only thing that truly exists is this life energy which is us, but which we don’t realize. We think that we are the body, we are the mind, when in reality we are the Spirit. Therefore, Spirituality is the study of the Spirit. It is being conscious of who we truly are. If we do not follow a life that is Spiritual or rather being that life energy, that Soul or the Atman, then we are living a life of illusion.   What is a Spiritual life ? A Spiritual life is all about realizing the Spirit, whether it is through meditation or by following a religion . Spirituality is awakening the truth about the Spirit. On...
